Hello,Well i use 'Transcend Portable Hard Disk 160 GB'..My problem is that "My dvd player fails to recognise external hard disk"..is there any drivers related problem or related to the External HDD of mine??Please suggest me the proper way for this.

Sony Will Launch PS3 3D Update In June

Playstation 3 to win console war in the end

"Nintendo has done a great job with the Wii in bringing console games to new audiences," David Mercer, Principal Analyst at Strategic Analytics said in a statement. "But its sales are now falling, particularly in mature markets, and its installed base will peak in 2011."

Mercer believes that PlayStation 3 ownership will hit its "highest point between 2012 and 2014."

Strategy Analytics derived its figures and predictions based on several scenarios for each platform. A key factor in those scenarios is an increasing consumer desire for more than just gaming built into their consoles. The market-research firm contends that could have the most damaging effect on the Wii.

That said, the firm was quick to point out that its forecasts could be off. It cited the upcoming release of Project Natal and Sony's motion controller as factors that could dramatically affect its predictions.

From a marketwide perspective, Strategy Analytics believes that current-generation-console ownership will hit its peak in 2011. Once that happens, it believes the big three game vendors will need to launch new consoles to "maintain industry growth."

The analysts' predictions seem to reflect what Sony has been saying since the PlayStation 3's launch. The company contends that early sales aren't everything and unlike its competition, the PlayStation 3 is on a "10-year life cycle" that will help it sell more consoles long after the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii are gone.

A company has finally released a commercial Jet Pack – which costs a VERY REASONABLE $50,000.

“the Martin Aircraft Company jetpacks have about 200 HP coming out of their dual propellers. They can go up to 1.5 miles [high] in the air and reach speeds of 60 mph. They will aim to make about 500 packs a year.

It is capable of traveling 30 miles with a full tank of fuel.”

Probably would’ve had more luck with the ladies in high school if…

Still waiting for the God Of War release? Well its almost here, and Sony has started to send out retail builds of the game to some lucky media outlet. This dude, (techdude6693) got lucky and got one. And so he did an awesome thing, and made an unboxing video for all to see. So, watch this...

Really cool, is any one else here really excited for GOW III? I know for sure I am. God of War III will be released in the US on March 16 and will land in the UK on March 19

Sony PS3 owners to get free 3D update

It will also actively support software developers and publishers, providing technological information to develop stereoscopic 3D games and content, Sony announced at a briefing in Tokyo.

"Sony's plans to upgrade existing PS3 consoles to 3D will provide a major boost to the 3D market during 2010," commented David Mercer of Strategy Analytics when Sony unveiled its 3D PS3 ambitions. "This could quickly

create a worldwide installed base of more than 30 million 3D-capable games consoles and confirm the PS3 as a platform positioned for the next generation of console games."

The big driver for 3D will be this year's Fifa World Cup in South Africa, which kicks off on 12 June. Most TV manufacturers will have 3D TVs onsale well before this. Several are also looking to offer ways to allow existing customers to enjoy 3D TV programming and are whetting their appetites by offering 2D-to-3D upgrade packs.

How to run any XP app perfectly on Windows 7...

1. Right-click the exe/app/game and select properties
2. Click the compatibility tab
3. Click the checkbox "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"and select Windows XP SP3
4. Click the checkboxes "Disable Visual Themes" and "Disable Desktop
5. Select ok.

Your game/app should work like it used to on Windows XP.

This also fixes Windows Movie Maker 2.1 (From an XP install) from not displaying video (I found it didn't display an XviD encoded one, there may be others an d this fixed it."

OtherOs will not be removed from the non-slim PS3 models

i have a real problem. i fix 360's for a side profit. rrod, e74 whatever. my problem is this. now that i have the 360's running some won't read dvd and all wont play 360 games. it gives an error message saying something like please put in an xbox 360. im like wtf? l did try switching out the lasers with new ones, but still no good. l have read that the key on the dvd mobo might be broken and i have to reflash it.

does anybody know how to fix this? i cant find anything anywhere telling me how to fix this.

Sony files patent for "degradable video game demos"

Sony wants to make sure that you'll get more than just the demo of their games, but that you'll be compelled to purchase the full version. A patent's been found, duly filed by Sony, and this one is for the so-called "degradable video game demos".

According to this patent, the software will allow Sony to remove parts of the game the longer you play. So you download a game, a racing game, and after two hours you have this tricked out car with 4 nitro and spinners. And after 4 hours you only have a car with 2 nitro and spinners, and after 6 hours you have a crappy broken down piece of junk.

Other "degradable" portions of the demo may be levels or race tracks. Again, diminishing returns take place. The more longer you play the demo, the less tracks or levels you'll be able to play on. Characters may also be removed, so it seems.

The patent claims that this is a better model than the current demo system in place, because these degradable demos can actually be distributed on physical media, and so the players can catch a glimpse of the whole game, albeit for a strictly limited time only.

This is a really stupid idea if you ask me. Why not just put a time cap on it, after you play 6 hours the game explodes and you can't download it again. That'd make me want to go and buy the game. This would just make me annoyed. They claim it lets you see a "glimpse" of the whole game but they don't give you any time to play the whole game.

What do you guys think?

On March 4, 2000, the PS2 was being sold. It has been ten years since then and it is STILL selling (it is also the #1 console for sales).

so as you guys know apple was suing htc for breaking like 20 pattens or so right? welllll... there is a new contender in the fight!!! it is now a tag team against apple! basically what is going down now is google has decided to back htc since they are partners. ( the htc phones run the android software which google makes)

Xbox 360 250GB HD coming this month in US?

Is Microsoft releasing the 250GB hard drive for the Xbox 360 as a stand-alone product in the US? According to GameStop, that's a definite yes.

GameStop's online database lists the hard drive for a March 23rd release, and pegged at US$ 129.99. This puts it at US$ 30 above the currently available 60GB Live Pack. Curiously, however, the listing was removed later on.

Good thing GameSpot was able to grab a screenshot of the said listing in question, though.

Microsoft has yet to confirm this, but we'll be sure to keep you posted as we hear any more official word on it.

I really don't know to much about Xbox, so you guys are going to have to tell me. Is this good?

Bash the castle released by Scanff

Scanff has released his new HomeBrew game, Bash the castle. Bash The Castle is a fun little arcade game where you "bash" the castles by throwing rocks at them. This game uses Box2D physics engine and SDL for graphics and audio.

Looks like a pretty fun game, I'll try it out later today. Has any one else tried it?

Apple iPad to Go on Sale Friday March 26th?

Apple announced that the iPad would go on sale at the end of March, however, we’ve yet to hear official details about the actual sale date and procedure.

There’s whispers in the air that Apple is planning on launching the iPad at retail stores on Friday, March 26th at 6 p.m. in similar fashion to the original iPhone launch.

The Examiner now makes similar claims of a March 26th launch date with Apple store employees getting training on the device starting on March 10th. The author also claims that the commercials will begin airing on March 15th. Finally, those who camp out for the iPad will receive a “special gift”.

The 3G enabled version of the iPad will follow the Wi-Fi iPad launch by about 30 days, according to Apple.
